Southern Scents was started almost 3 years ago by a young man eager to provide his family and friends with quality handmade gifts for Christmas. What began as a hobby and as a way to provide gifts to friends and family quickly escalated into a full on business. “My first candle making supplies were purchased with money that I had actually received as Christmas gifts,” said Adam. “From there, my candles became an item that was flying off of the shelves in a local grocery store.” Adam has worked hard to provide satisfactory products and excellent customer service. “Customer service is my biggest selling product. The best thing about it, it comes free to any and all I make contact with.” Adam hopes that his business will continue to grow. He says, “Providing handcrafted candles to people is more than just a source of income for me. It is something I love to do. I look forwards to getting home from school each day and being able relieve the stresses and pressures of the day by making a batch of soap or pouring candles.”
About the Owner/Artist ~ Adam Grace
Adam Grace is the 17 year old owner of Southern Scents. He attends Lake Attendance Center where he maintains an A/B average. He is a member of the Beta Club, National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christan Athletes, the annual and school newspaper staffs, and the marching and concert bands in which he plays the trombone and baritone. He has received the honor of being selected to attend Mississippi Governor's School, Boy's State, as well as being presented with numerous awards. Adam is an active member of the community. He enjoys helping with local Vacation Bible Schools, visiting with the elderly in nursing homes, and compiling gift baskets to give away at Christmas. Adam hopes to graduate this May with honors after which he plans to attend Millsaps College in Jackson, MS, where he hopes to obtain his Masters Degree in Business Adminstration or pursue a degree in the law field with a focus on business and technology fields.

To accomplish this we use only 100% soy and fragrance oils that are of the highest quality and never cut or diluted. All of our bath and body products use the freshest oils and creams and contain only skin safe fragrance oils and colorants. You can also be assured you receiving a great product because each batch of products is tested by us and by our panel of random testers.
